Briggs Dirty Water Roto Rainer Mono Pump Units

All Roto Rainer pumpsets are based around the well proven British built Mono progressive cavity pump built specifically for dirty water and slurry applications. The surface mounted unit is designed to give reliable service with a minimum of maintenance. For example, a mechanical seal is used in place of traditional ‘packed’ seals, avoiding the need for routine seal maintenance.

A choice of pumpsets is available for the whole range of Roto Rainers, ensuring the pump can be sized correctly for each site. Model 2 and Model 5 pumps are available in 3-phase or single phase version and can pump from 2-6 m3/hr. Model 10 pumps can be supplied with 5.5 kW motors, capable of pumping 12 m3/hr or 7.5 kW motors which can pump up to 16m3/hr. The pumps can produce up to 10 bar constant pressure if required to cope with long pipelines and high static heads.

Standard features include a thermostatically controlled heater for frost protection, a float switch to start and stop the pump automatically, a heavy duty Murphy diaphragm pressure switch gauge which shows the running pressure and stops the pump (if there is a burst pipe, blockage, or if the Roto Rainer has finished the run), a non return valve, and a digital display showing pump status.

  • Robust diaphragm Murphy gauge shuts pump for:
  •    High pressure - end of run or blockage
  •    Low pressure - burst pipe
  • Dry run probe - shuts pump off immediately if no water in suction pipe
  • Thermostatically controlled heater for frost protection

  • British built Mono progressive cavity pump ensures:
  •    very low maintenance
  •    maintenance free mechanical seal
  •    built specifically for dirty water
  • Non return valve on discharge of pump
  • Float switch for automatic start/stop with 15m cable
  • Warning light to indicate 'end of run' or when a 'reset' is required
  • Diagnostic system for troubleshooting
  • Clear 'status' displayed on the screen

Economy 7

Secondary float switch set to override primary float switch in order to take advantage of cheaper rate power.

Galvanised motor cover

Galvanised cover to protect electrical connection box on top of motor.

Auto line drain

Motorised ball valve linked to thermostat, designed to drain water from pressure side of pump in freezing conditions.
